Pedagogical Development Meeting Held in Erbil
Under the sponsorship of Qaiwan International University, a meeting on pedagogical development programs was convened in Erbil on May 13, 2025, with the participation of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, alongside representatives from universities across the Kurdistan Region. In his address, the Minister emphasized that the educational process should extend beyond the confines of the classroom to encompass societal concerns and issues. He also highlighted the growing impact of artificial intelligence on education. The importance of pedagogy, as well as the need to sustain and expand participation in pedagogical training among all educators, was strongly affirmed. The continuation and enhancement of such programs were underscored as priorities moving forward. Dr. Zhala Saeed Khatat, Director General of the Office of Research and Development, spoke about the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to support and develop pedagogical programs. Following the speeches, a panel discussion titled “The Role of Pedagogy in Improving the Quality of the Learning Process” was held, during which participants presented various pedagogical models. Qaiwan International University remains one of the leading institutions in the Kurdistan Region offering high-quality pedagogical programs.
